Roasted Pork Sausages

Super easy and delicious. This fall classic uses the flavors of the season for a wonderful meal. You can serve these on a bun with whole grain mustard or on a plate with roasted root vegetables.

Directions

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound Tierra Verde Farms mild italian pork sausages

1 cup sliced sweet onions

1 mcintosh or other baking apple, cored and thinly sliced

2 tbsp butter

1 tsp sage (or 6-8 sage leaves)

salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Lightly grease a small roasting pan and roast sausages for 20 min.  Pour fat from roasting pan and discard.  Mix onions, apples, butter, sage, and salt & pepper.  Add to roasted sausages and roast 20 minutes or more until juices run clear when the sausage is pricked with a fork.

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to feed a crowd.
