North Carolina Pulled Pork in the Crockpot
Vinegar based NC style pulled pork is tangy and delicious. This recipe can be doubled for a crowd. Double it anyway, it tastes better the next day.

Directions

INGREDIENTS:

3-5 pounds Tierra Verde Farms Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt) Roast

1 1/2  Cups cider vinegar + 1/2 Cup water

1/2 Cup Ketchup

3 T Worcestershire Sauce

1 1/2 T Brown Sugar

1 T Dijon Mustard

1 T Salt

1/2-1 T crushed red pepper (depending on your heat tolerance)

1 tsp. Black Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

Place all ingredients in a crockpot on low for 6-8 hours, until pork shreds easily with a two forks.  Remove from crockpot saving much of the liquid to store the leftovers.  Serve as a sandwich or straight on a plate with your favorite hot sauce.
