Classic Osso Buco
Comfort food for a cold, snowy day. A delicious recipe of the Italian Ossobuco “alla Milanese” that you can prepare in your oven. From the Italian, Ossobuco translates “bone with a hole”. “Osso” means bone, and “buco” means hole. In other words, Ossobuco is an Italian braised beef shank. We made ours with pork shanks but beef shank can also be used. The combination of spices, vegetables, and meat makes Ossobuco a perfect meal for you and your loved ones. Even though it seems like a complicated dish to make, it is not. It won’t take you a lot of time to prepare everything. Although the cooking will take some time. But it’s worth it, I promise! Especially when you will see how the meat comes off the bones.
